I remember that show from WKRP vividly. "you love the grateful dead, I love the grateful dead. Let's all sit around and get mellow sometime and listen to them. But not on my dance show"

I seem to remember that Howard hesseman hated that whole episode and thought the show jumped the shark

Really? That is interesting. I will always have a soft spot for WKRP. Great showed ruined by CBS moving time slots and days. I guess we were lucky to get 4 years out of it. Today's execs would have canceled the show after only a few episodes.

I read it in a book called Summer of Love by Joel Selvin. even Garcia gives the book a nod as accurate.
